CLAYTON- Roger Craig Barber, age 22, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, North Carolina following a courageous battle with gastric cancer.
A gathering of friends and family will be held from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm Sunday, December 12, 2021 at McLaurin Funeral Home.
Roger was born on August 14, 1999 in Wake County and a lifelong residence of Clayton, North Carolina. He was a graduate of Corinth Holders High School and had attended The University of North Carolina at Pembroke where he was majoring in Computer Science. Roger enjoyed game nights with his friends, and was passionate about human rights for all.
Roger is survived by his parents, Craig and Shannon Barber of the home; sisters, Molly and Bella Barber of the home; maternal grandfather, Roger Paramore of Kinston, NC.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Catherine Paramore of Kinston, NC; and his paternal grandparents, Floyd and Gail Barber of Aberdeen, NC.
