Robert Edward Parnell

Robert Edward “Bobby” Parnell, son of the late William Leslie and Gertrude Lee Parnell passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the age of 84. Mr. Parnell was born in Harnett County on August 13, 1936 and served in the NC National Guard. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 11:00am at Knollwood Memorial Park (4362 US 70 Bus Hwy W. Clayton) with Rev. Timmy D. Blair officiating.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Kay Parnell; children, Phil Parnell and his wife, Jana of Benson, Lisa Moore and her husband, Ricky of Angier, Sheri Greene and her husband, Jeff of Angier, Doug Weeks and his wife, Dawn of Angier; surviving children’s mother, Jeanette McLean; grandchildren, Leslie, Jonathan, Aaron, Amanda, Mitchell, Madison, Olivia, Crystal and Caroline; ten great grandchildren; sister, Linda L. Parnell of Dunn. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brothers, Billy, Charles and Dale Parnell, sisters, Helen Suggs and JoAnn Willard; and a granddaughter, Shelby Greene.
