Robert Earl and Annie Green Barbour passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 after 72 years of marriage. Robert is the son of the late H. Paul and Minnie Austin Barbour and was born in Johnston County on January 4, 1935. Annie is the daughter of the late Elton and Bertha Parrish Green and was born in Johnston County on August 25, 1935. Funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. Barbour will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 11:00am in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service starting at 10:00am. The committal service will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Clayton.
Mr. and Mrs. Barbour are survived by their son, Jackie Barbour and his girlfriend, Janie; Mr. Barbour’s sister, Virginia Johnson and her husband, Larry; and a nephew, Larry Johnson, Jr. Mrs. Barbour is also survived by her sisters, Nola Olive and Carolyn Whitley and her husband, Charles; brothers, Tom Green and his late wife, Isa; Phil Green and his wife, Sandy; Steve Green and his wife, Jill; Larry Green and his wife, Diane; Mike Green and his wife, Beverly; grandchildren, Tracie Worley (Michael), Paul Barbour (Jenny), Robbie Barbour (Bobbie Jo), William Barbour and Kristie Barbour; great grandchildren, Macy and Meagan Worley, Grant and Allie Barbour, Peyton and Tori Barbour; daughter-in-law, Gale Barbour. In addition to their parents and son, Robert Young Barbour, they are also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
