Richard Aidan Bonner, Jr., 67, passed away on Memorial Day, May 25, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Staten Island, NY on February 22, 1948, he was the son of Mary Theresa Brennan Bonner and the late Richard Aidan Bonner, Sr. Richard was a loving father and grandfather. He was a proud American who served his country in Vietnam. He worked for 20 years at Fort Monmouth for the Department of the Army. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Bonner (nee Bride); children, Christopher Bonner and wife, Sandra and Colleen Bonner, grandchildren, Graydon and Gwendolyn Bonner; mother, Mary Theresa Bonner; and siblings, Elizabeth Ittner, Margaret Hoffmann, Stephen Bonner, Michael Bonner, Gregory Bonner, and Mary Bonner; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held at McLaurin Funeral Home 12830 U.S. Highway 70 Business West, Clayton N.C. 27520 (919) 553-7143 on Thursday, May 28, 2105 from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. A funeral mass will be held Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11am at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 4057 US 70 Business W. Clayton, NC 27520.
