Peggy was born in Creswell, North Carolina to Benjamin Armstrong Davenport and Elizabeth Jesse Phelps on October 1, 1935. She married Lt. Colonel James Joseph Choquette August 29, 1959. She attended the University of Texas in Austin.
Her career included working for the federal government in Washington D.C., The Austin Symphony Orchestra, the reelection campaign of Texas Lieutenant Governor Bill Hobby, Texas Senator Bob Bullock in Austin, Texas, the Texas Sunset Commission, and the University of Texas at Austin. She raised four children, and was a loving nanny for several prominent lawyers in her “retirement”.
Peggy is survived by her children; daughter, Tina and her spouse, Nicolas Andreola, Jr., son, August Joseph Choquette, daughter, Leslie and her spouse, Terry Fisher, son, Thomas Andrew Choquette and his spouse Michael Doughty; her grandchildren, Zak Andreola, Kelly Andreola, and Samantha Fisher; her sister, Brenda Gonzales; her extended family, David Nachman and Amy Schulman and their children, Ezra, Gideon, and Raphael and her beloved dog, Sugar.
Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, Lieutenant Colonel James Joseph Choquette; her brother, Benjamin Davenport; her sister, Billie Diane and her parents.
