Neil McRae Currie, son of the late Neil Ishmael and Margaret Williamson Currie passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at the age of 81. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Mr. Currie was born in Robeson County on October 25, 1939 and worked as a Medical Records Clerk prior to retirement.
He is survived by his brothers, Jerry D. Currie of Gonzales, LA, Mark S. Currie of Willow Spring, and Danny D. Currie of Clayton. Mr. Currie is also survived by his sisters, Margaret Ann Zerhusen of Cincinnati, OH and Deborah C. Godwin of Garner along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Currie is also preceded in death by his brothers, William R. Currie, and Thomas M. Currie as well as a sister, Nancy C. Penny.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 11:30am in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home with the family receiving friend’s one hour prior to the service from 10:30 until 11:30am.
