Mike was born and raised in St. Joseph, Missouri, then relocated to Sarasota , Florida, where he finished high school and then enlisted in the U.S Army. He returned home from the Vietnam War and went into the commercial repair business, eventually owning his own company. Before moving to North Carolina, he married and had two beautiful children.
Mike was an avid sports fan, loved rock and roll music, and enjoyed his electric guitar. He had an easy smile, a great sense of humor and was a good friend to all who knew him.
Mike is survived by his wife, Bobbi; daughter, Leah; son, Michael Jr.; granddaughter, Kaity, as well as many siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of life will be announced at a future date.
