So sorry to hear of Marcy's passing.  I will always remember her as that beautiful girl with a smile that lit up the room who loved to laugh and had a passion for animals. I know she is now whole and at peace with loved ones who went before her. Love you, Marcy!

Marcy helped me start my first veterinary clinic even before she went to school for criminal justice.  I couldn't have gotten my business off the ground without her.  She has always had and always will have a special place in my heart.

We are so saddened to hear of Marcy's passing.  We were neighbors in Georgetowne Subdivision for several years.  She was funny, fun, and such an animal lover!  She was always very kind to our two young daughters.  Our thoughts and prayers are with your family during this time.

My memories of Marcy go way back to when she and my son (Donny Miller) went to Wake Christian. 
She now has gone to see Jesus and have peace.  She will be missed by many for always, but we will remember what a great person she was.  May God be with you all in your loss, but let her live on in your memories, as I'm sure she will.

Marci, I know you are pain free running around with the animals you loved so much in heaven! RIP you beautiful soul!

To the family of Marcy Rae: I extend my deepest sympathy for your loss of such a precious, beautiful, young lady. I worked with Marcy at the Police Dept., and we had many conversations about our future home in Heaven. I am very sad that she departed this life so soon, but I am sure we will share eternity enjoying all of our family and friends. I think she would say to us all, "Be There!"

I had the privilege of attending Wake Christian with Marcy and remember traveling to games with her.  I was again privileged to encounter her again one night while on an EMS call and was excited to work along side her professionally.  Was again privileged to cross paths with her when my husband became her supervisor.  
Marcy, you were a wonderful person, police officer and detective who touched more lives in positive ways than you will ever know.  I am glad you are no longer suffering and know you will never be forgotten, and yes, I will be in prayer for you family in the coming days.  Rest easy Marcy.

I am heartbroken at the loss of such a great person. I was Marcy's Captain for about two and a half years and she was like a daughter to me. We talked almost every day, and had a special relationship on our platoon. God must have had a special need in Heaven for Marcy..

I have some great memories of Marcy, her great laugh, the way she always wanted to get into things. We would ride together on the North side and just laugh all shift. She loved her family as well as all animals. She never missed an opportunity to kid with us in roll call. She was much to young to leave, but God has a plan for us all, he has an angel in my opinion. God bless your family, and I will always hold a special place in my heart for you.

I used to respond to 9-1-1 calls with Marcy in my rookie days as a beat cop.  So sad to hear this news.  Thoughts and prayers to the Rae family.  God speed!

I am so incredibly saddened to hear about the passing of Marcy.  I was lucky enough to work with her on the SVU and she was a fantastic detective!!  Rest in Peace Marcy.

 Words can not express how sadden I am to hear about Marcy, you all are in my thoughts and prayers.

I have so many wonderful memories with Marcy! I was her Sergeant in the Downtown District for a couple years. We would have the most interesting conversations when time permitted. One midnight shift she expressed to me how tired she was of being at the front desk. So I said come on girl lets go get into something! She was so excited and thrilled to "go do some real police work" She was fun, silly, hard headed and passionate and I loved that about her! We were out in the streets for a couple of hours together and I joked with her that we were like Cagney and Lacey as we went from call to call. Marcy was smart and driven and didn't take you know what from people. The stories we shared with one another about the job and our families meant the world to me. She was my friend and I loved her! She will not be forgotten! You can be my check in anytime! Much love to your family, for I know that you loved them very much! Please keep an eye on me girl, there's still trouble to get into down here.

Marcy loved to listen to In Touch Ministries with Charles Stanley. I taught her how to crochet. She always made me laugh. God Bless each of you.

I did not know Marcy, but am friends with someone who did. I was struck by the horrific trials she was going through over the past few months, and was praying for her. God has other plans for this beautiful, caring person. I am so sorry for your loss, and I pray for a flood of good memories to sustain you as you grieve.

Marcy and I attended WCA together. I played basketball. She would intentionally sit in front of me in class and trick me into rubbing her shoulders. We also were in the Raleigh Police Departments 63rd academy together. One memory we went out on a long run and she said she was tired. The training officer let her sit down and rest while we all had to run in a circle around her until she was rested. I look back and laugh at that today. I have lost a sister as well so I know the feeling of the family and Shannon. She is no longer in pain and wouldnt come back if she was able. I am sorry for your loss and you will be missed by family and friends.
