Kevin Clark Reed

Kevin Clark Reed, age 46, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 8, 2024, at his home in Clayton, NC. Born in Clarksburg, West Virginia on January 16, 1978, he was a son to the late Roger Clay Reed and Linda Lou Reed.

Kevin was a very skilled roofer and carpenter. In his last few years, he enjoyed his job as a cook for Harris Teeter. He loved the outdoors, listening to music, and was a fan of the Steelers football team.

Kevin and his wife of 11 years loved to go walking together on pretty days. They made memorable trips to the beach for their wedding anniversary and loved each other dearly. Kevin always said he wanted to be able to put his daughter in his pocket for her safety, and mentioned how proud he was of his son for taking care of his wife and soon to be son. He was a loving father and cared deeply for his children.

Kevin is survived by his loving wife and companion, Rebecca Sue Reed; his children, Savannah Keene; son, Blake Holloman and his wife Brittney Holloman; soon to be grandson, Donald Holloman; brother, Roger Clay Reed Jr; mother-in-law, Ruby Allen; brother in-law, Jeff Allen and his wife Melissa and their children, Kara and Jarrett; and his beloved dogs, Daisy Mae and Harley Quinn.

A celebration of Kevin’s life will be scheduled at a later date, with information to be posted on McLaurin Funeral Home’s website.
