Julia was one of the sweetest, most precious, selfless, caring Southern Belles I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. There is an empty place in my heart that she left behind. My fondness and respect for her will carry on. Her kind of spiritual beauty, like her blessed sister's, is a gift that we rarely see anymore. But we remember.  We remember.

I worked with Julia at NCDOT for several years.  She was so kind, sweet, and hilarious!   Her smile lit up every room she entered!!  Julia was a ball of energy and truly a joy to be around and a wonderful friend and co-worker.  I will never forget how welcome she made me feel when I first started my career with the State.  She was so sweet and kind and helped me learn the "ropes" in the Commercial Accounts Section.  There was about six of us who shared the same office in the highway building.  We were on the third floor and our office view was overlooking the Capital grounds in downtown Raleigh.  Julia was just a warm, fun-loving person!!

I remember one day Julia was attempting to add some numbers together and when she went to hit the "plus" bar she couldn't find it and realized she was on her telephone instead of the calculator!!  She laughed so hard and told the rest of us what she had done!!  It was hilarious!!  Julia, you were the best!!  I remember as if it was yesterday!!  

I always loved hearing about her adventures at the race track with her beloved Donald & Donnie.  I remember all the stories and photos she shared as she and Donald were building their mountain dream home.  They literally built it themselves from the ground up!!

Julia always came to visit after she retired and every Christmas she would make all of us some of her delicious chocolate fudge.  She would make some to share but also made some for each of us  in individual tins to take home!  She was such a loving, kind, compassionate individual and I hate I lost contact with her over the years.  I didn't see her but I thought of her often throughout the years and I will never forget her and how she made me feel.  She had the gift of making everyone feel special.  

Rest easy, my sweet Julia and know you were dearly loved.  The world was truly a better place with you in it.  You will be greatly missed, always and never forgotten.  I will see you on the other side.  God Speed...

To bugs family we offer our deepest sympathy. She was a dear friend to us. She was a kind loving and caring  person to many.



 

When my cousin Jami passed away a few years ago, Bug helped take great care of her girls along with their grandad and dad. She would come to our families Thanksgiving and Christmas and was always such a joy to be around. She was so kind and I will miss her sweet smile. 

My sincere love and sympathy to all Bug's family.  She was my sister-in-law for over 20 years, but I have always loved her and considered her to still be my sister-in-law for over 50 years.  Her beautiful smile would light up a room and her infectious laugh would capture your heart.  I will always cherish many precious memories made with her and am so thankful she was a part of my life and the life of my children and grandchildren.  So thankful you are home now where there is no more pain and suffering.  Pray God will bless and comfort all of Bug's family.

Christmas wan't be the same without her.   I miss her smile & visits already.  I love her so much good by sweet lady.  God bless you!

Julia was clearly a beautiful person inside and out.  She always had a  smile and a kind word.  Shortly before she hurt her shoulder, she took a special interest in my husband and me.   She made us feel good.  I hate we didn't get to know her any longer than we did.  But meeting her does put an imprint on our life moving forward.  I don't know why things happen as they do, or when they do, but I do know that everything is in  Gods' timing.   God chose to bless Mike and me to have Julia as a friend. Sweet Miss Julia, she always made the rounds Sunday mornings to say good morning to everyone.  I miss her very much.  Once I told her how lovely I thought her necklace was, weeks later, she had bought one for me.  Such a sweetheart.  God bless her.  Praying for her family.  

Ms Julia sat in front of my husband and I in church. She made our day by being so outgoing and happy. Her energy was contagious. She made a positive impact on whomever she met. We will miss her.
