Judy Blinson Johnson

Funeral services for Mrs. Johnson will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, October 6, 2022, in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home, 12830 US 70 Business Highway West, Clayton, North Carolina with burial following at Pinecrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Thursday, October 6, 2022, at the funeral home, prior to the service and other times at the family home in Garner.

She was born April 1, 1941, in Johnston County to the late Waldo Blinson and the late Emma Pounds Blinson Nash. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Linwood Johnson in 2008, and her sister, Jean Blinson Yates.

Judy was a lifelong resident of Johnston County and farmed alongside her husband for many years. She was a hard worker who spent her retirement years caring for her grandchildren. Judy loved to travel and was always up for a trip, even if it was just for the day. She especially loved the beach.

She is survived by her four children, Jenny Johnson Brown (Donnie), Joy Johnson, Jeffrey Johnson (Joy), Jolenay Johnson (Kelly); eight grandchildren, Jesse, Joseph, Jessica (Drew), Johnathon, Dallas (Emily), Jacob, Kasey (Ryan) and Kaleb; six great grandchildren, Joshua, Addyson, Asher, Jackson, Andi Jean, Emberly; sister, Brenda Blinson Alberti; lifelong friend, Judy Coats; and many in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends who have impacted her life tremendously.
