Judith Hudgins, 74, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2025, in Smithfield, North Carolina. Born on February 5, 1951, in Paintsville, Kentucky, Judith was the daughter of Alva and William Conley. She built a life marked by dedication to her profession and deep love for her family.
Judith devoted many years of her life to helping others as a respiratory therapist in both North Carolina and Florida. Her work touched countless lives and reflected her commitment to care and healing. After a long and fulfilling career, she retired in Florida, where she embraced a quieter pace of life while remaining close to those she loved in North Carolina and in Florida.
Family was at the heart of Judith’s world. She is lovingly remembered by her sons: Joshua Antrobus (Heather), Jeremy Antrobus (Kristy), and Jeffrey Antrobus (Becky). Her legacy continues through her cherished granddaughters: Hanna Antrobus, Kennedy Antrobus, Abigail Antrobus, and Josey Antrobus. Judith also leaves behind her beloved sisters, Vonda Sloan and Anna Lischke. Along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her professional accomplishments and devotion to family, Judith found great joy in painting and baking with her grandchildren—moments that brought warmth and creativity into their lives and created lasting memories. May the memory of Judith Hudgins bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
A memorial service celebrating Judith's life will be held at 3:00pm on Monday, March 31, 2025, at Shiloh Baptist Church Garner, NC, with Pastor Ryan Guzouskis officiating.
