Jim Richard Butler, 76, died at home on January 3, 2021 after an extended illness. Jim was born in 1944 to Richard and Elizabeth Sasser Butler of Clayton.
He is survived by his wife, LaRue Godwin Butler, and sons Jason Butler (Tonya), Alton Barnes, daughter Regina Bachouros (Steven) and grandchildren Sara Kojima (Yasushi), Kevin Bachouros, Jamie Butler, Morgan Barnes, Mary Barnes, and J.T. Butler and one great grandchild, Marshall Kojima. Jim is also survived by his siblings, Margaret Balala (Ron), Sherrill Butler (Doris), Sarah Lee (Terry) and Joseph Butler as well as a special nephew Richard Balala (Kim).
Jim served his country in Vietnam after finishing school. He worked for many years as a commercial electrician and also loved working on the farm and raising cattle. He loved and cared for his family and friends and also loved going camping in the mountains with his wife.
The family wishes to express their appreciation for all the love and kindnesses extended from family and friends during his illness.
