James Norris Hecker, 62, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2018. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 1:00pm at the Garner Church of God.
He had many passions in life including watching the Three Stooges, playing horseshoes and attending church. Recently, he was a member of the Church of God in Garner. Before that, he attended Wake Forest Church of God.
James is survived by his sister, Barbara Ann Goad and husband, Terry, of Wake Forest; brothers, Ricky Lane Hecker and David Wayne Hecker, both of Garner; nephew, David Hecker; sister in law, Mary Beth Hecker; aunt, Pearl Barefoot and husband, William; uncle, Bobby Clifton and wife, Judy; uncle, Bill Clifton and wife, Sue; cousins, Lynn and Peggy Clifton as well as cousins in Portsmouth, VA and close friends, Roger and Helen Barbour. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Elizabeth Hecker.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Home Society of NC, 2200 E 7th St, Charlotte, NC 28204.
