James Benjamin Gordon Jr., age 89, son of the late James B. and Bessie Jones Gordon passed away on Friday, September 9, 2022. James, a self employed contractor was born in Johnston County on February 27, 1933.
A funeral service will occur Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 2:00pm in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00. The interment will will follow the services at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
He is survived by his children, Terri A. Gordon, Jim Gordon, III, Sherri Bauer and Greg Wall; his sister, Josephine Howard and her husband, Emory; five grandchildren and one great grandchild and man nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley S. Gordon and a son, Brooks Gordon.
