Hubert Campbell was born on February 16, 1944 and passed away May 12, 2022 at the age of 78 at his home in Clayton. Hubert is survived by his sons Craig (Karen) and Keith (Christy) and Daughter Lynne Tolson; granddaughter Ariel Wilkins (Mark Zeltmann); grandson Jimmy Campbell (Haley Erexson); great grandson Dawson Zeltmann; nieces Vickie Elliott, Peggy Rogers, and Rebecca Hardesty.
He is preceded in death by his wife Sandra Crocker Campbell of 35 years, parents Hubert and Daphne Deans Campbell; Sister Gladys and brother in law William Weaver.

Hubert Lived in Kenly with his wife Sandra. He loved working in the yard especially his vegetable and flower garden. Hubert served honorably in the Vietnam War while he was in the Navy. He also was a member of The Army National Guard, where he made trips across America, training in many different states. His Boys loved to go with him to work at The Army National Guard Center in Raleigh. Never one to slow down; after retirement Hubert worked for CarQuest delivering auto parts. He worked as the Night Auditor for Holiday Inn Express, Sleep Inn, Quality Inn and Comfort Inn. Before Hubert would go to work at the hotels he would go to the Car Auction and work as a Gate Attendant before driving the cars thru the lanes there wasn’t a job that Hubert could not do.
Visitation for Hubert will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at McLaurin Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will conducted by Reverend Brian Rogers at 12:00 PM in the chapel. Burial will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park with Navy Honors
Serving as pallbearers are Jimmy Campbell, Linwood Rhodes, Glenn Rogers, Preston Ray, Larry Jackson and Jonathan Wilkins.
