Howard Leroy Lawson, Jr., age 67, of Clayton passed away Monday, November 17, 2014. Leroy was born January 6, 1947 in Durham to the late Howard Leroy and Ollie Moore Lawson. He was a man that always put his family first and loved nothing more than to see them smile. A Funeral Service will be held at 6pm on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 in the McLaurin Funeral Home Chapel, 12830 US Highway 70 Business West, Clayton, NC 27520. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Leroy is survived by his children, Pamela West, James Lawson, Denise Watkins, Barry Lawson, and Brian Lawson; grandchildren, Elizabeth Lawson, Quentin Leverett, Tristan West, Matthew Lawson, Victoria Lawson, Caroline Lawson, Catherine Lawson, and Amanda Moore; and a great grandson, Ethan Ellifritz. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Transitions Lifecare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
