Graylon Everett Beasley, age 87 passed away Monday, September 26th, 2022 at Smithfield Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born in Johnston County on August 3rd 1935 to the late John Elbert and Lillie Florence Beasley. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Rosa Lee Beasley and eight siblings.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 28th from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at McLaurin Funeral Home in Clayton. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 29th at 11:00 a.m. at Hills of the Neuse Memory Garden in Smithfield.
Mr. Beasley is survived by his son, Danny Beasley of Four Oaks; a daughter, Kimberly Langdon of Four Oaks; grandchildren, Paul Langdon, Matthew Beasley, Morgan Boswell, and Meghan Beasley; special sister in law, Myrtle Jones; numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Beasley, along with his wife, owned and operated GE Beasley Drywall Service for 40+ years. After his retirement he was the President of the Amen Coffee Club at the West Smithfield McDonald's. He took great pride in acquiring new members and organizing the many birthday parties the club enjoyed.
The family would like to thank the staff of Smithfield Manor for their loving care over the past 7 months and Dr. Benjamin Atkeson for his many years of care and friendship.
