A native of Hume, MO, George was born August 15, 1941 to the late Barney Leon and Wretha Lorean Dean Robinson. On June 9th, 1973 he married Kathleen Kruit in Wausau, WI. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. After his service to the Navy, he spent many years working in the insurance field before finally opening his own business, Bryan Road Trucking in Indianapolis, IN, with his wife Kathy. He was an avid gun collector, Republican National Party supporter, and lifetime member of the NRA. He was also a longtime member of the Masons, Shriners, Elks, and Moose Lodges.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Kruit Robinson, of Clayton, NC; daughter, Emily Robinson Lindsey and husband, Andy, of Clayton, NC; grandchildren, Katy Lindsey, Cassidy Lindsey, Camden Lindsey, Joseph Lindsey; sister, Janet Robinson Staton and husband, Rosco, of Cleveland, MO; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 11am in the McLaurin Funeral Home Chapel, 12830 US HWY 70 Business West, Clayton, NC 27520.
