Earl Wayne Poole

He was born in Johnston County on June 14, 1945, to the late Earl Battle and Lola Greene Poole. In addition to his parents, Earl is also preceded in death by his daughter, Shelly Poole and a sister, Jean Hales.

Earl was a very hard worker who loved fishing, making his family proud of him and also making them happy. He was the type of man that would do without to put his family first. Our dad would always eat last at every meal. He was the toughest man anyone could have known. No father or mother should ever have to bury a child, but Earl did. His children were so proud to call Earl Poole their father - "God bless you Dad".

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Poole; two sons, Tracy and Shane Poole; two grandchildren.

A memorial service for Earl will be held Thursday, August 17, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Powhatan Free Will Baptist Church, 3468 Powhatan Rd, Clayton.
