Donna Jean Lamz was born on February 14, 1937 in Elgin, Illinois. She was the first of three daughters. As a Valentines Day baby, it was no surprise she fell in love early on in life. Donna met Leon Miller at Elgin High School, where they would graduate in 1954. A year later, Leon and Donna were married in September 1955. Their life would be filled with love, adventure, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She would even live to meet her first great-great-grandson!
Donna’s family would remember her as someone who took excellent care of her family and household. Her giggle was contagious, and she wanted everyone to be as happy as she was. Donna loved cooking for others and passing down her family recipes to the next generation. You could often catch her singing to her favorite tunes; especially Elvis.
Donna Miller was preceded in death by her loving husband Leon Miller. We are sure he was patiently preparing to be reunited with his bride. She is survived by her sisters, Janet Johnson of California and Geraldine Johnson of Illinois; her children, Julie (Bob) Erickson, Mitchell Miller and Kris Miller; her grandchildren, Rebekah (Kevin Todd) Erickson, Darren (Adryn) Erickson and Jamie (Andrew) Parks; her great-grandchildren, Carley (Hunter Hill) Todd, Kara Parks, Rylee Parks and Ashlynn Parks; and her great-great-grandson, Brayden Hill.
A private service will be held on a later date.
