Donald Elwood Moore, Sr., son of the late Walter E. and Zilphia Matthews Moore passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at the age of 76. A Vietnam veteran with the US Army, Donald was born in Harnett County on January 1, 1946 and worked as a corrections office prior to his retirement.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Lou Moore; sons, Donnie Moore and wife, Jackie, Stephen Moore and wife, Kelli; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Moore, Hanna Moore, Sarah Moore and Haylee Moore; sister-in-law, Francis Anderson; brother-in-law, Wesley Anderson and wife, Debbie.
A funeral service celebrating Donald’s life will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 11:00am at the Garner Advent Christian Church with the interment following at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Clayton. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until 10:30 prior to the service.
