I remember my first time having dinner at the Holt’s house in ‘92-‘93.  Needless to say, being surrounded by rather tall, albeit very friendly, people, it was somewhat intimidating.  As we were just getting ready to eat, everyone started passing the serving plates, and Brian says, “Snooze, you lose!” Lol. Well, I think he helped me to gain a better understanding of what a great sense of humor he had, but also, what a welcoming, loving, and unassuming family he, and my future husband, were part of.   Thank you for always keeping us laughing, Brian.  You were very special and one of a kind.  Rest easy in God’s loving care 🙏🏻❤️

Brian was a good person and friend for years  he will be sorely missed by many. Brian was always there to help if you needed him. Brian helped me write a eulogy for my sister after her passing he was great with saying the right things getting to the point. Rest easy my brother until we meet again. Chief we got it from here… 

Uncle Brian was a good man and a great father. Like all the Holt Uncles he was caring, funny, and mischievous. However, when it came to telling a story, everyone would wait for Brian tell it. His facial expressions, delivery, and his classic "Woof" always had everyone rolling on the ground. One of my favorite stories was the time he saved a baby bird from a busy Levittown roadway. He dodged multiple lanes of traffic bringing the bird to one side only to realize the bird was trying to go back across. He recaptured the bird, crossed back over, almost getting hit by a bus. He placed the baby bird down and looked in his hands to find a messy gift from the "grateful" baby bird.  Rest easy Uncle Brian you will be greatly missed. 

Our sincere sympathy to Brian’s wife and children, the Holt family clan, and his many friends.  May all those be comforted knowing he will rest in peace.

When I received the news of Brian’s  passing, I was deeply saddened. He was such a great guy. I’m so glad I had the privilege to get to know him and work side by side with him. He touched so many lives. To the Holt family, you are in my thoughts and prayers. May God comfort you in this difficult time. Brian “Hulk”Holt (355)- rest easy brother, until we meet again. 


Brian was one of my favorite cousins. As a child, we spent a lot of time at the Holt’s for bbqs and celebrating family occasions. They also used to watch me a lot if my parents had events to attend. I followed Brian everywhere, and even though he was a few years older, he was always patient and a lot of fun. He taught me to skateboard (badly) and let me in on any and all pranks (like dropping ice cubes out the windows on guests!) He shared all of the family animals, and would let me participate in any games he would play. He never made me feel like the annoying younger cousin. The Holt’s house was always the best place to be. I will miss Brian terribly, but will always remember him. 


Brian was a great cousin and I loved that we grew up in the same town and took part in big family gatherings.  As a child there is nothing better than the feeling of mischief there is in being part of a great pack of cousins running around a neighborhood at dusk.  Brian was always smiling, willing to be part of any plan, any game - glad to be part of the fray.  

Later, as adults in the same town we would run into each other in store or a parade.  He always had a smile and something positive to say.  I enjoyed those moments. 
He was my youngest cousin on my Dad’s side and though we didn’t get together as much lately, I will still miss him and our days together.  
Rest easy in God’s hands, Brian. 

The Chiefs Office and the Officers and Members of the Levittown Fire Department extend their sincerest and most heartfelt condolences to the Holt Family on the passing of Ex-Chief Brian Holt. 
His service to the Department and the residents of Levittown, NY will never be forgotten.

Brian was my Chief in Levittown fire department. Actually, he was one of my favorites of the Chief of department. He never let the job, or the power he had, go to his head. We was always fair and always listened to what we had to say. He was such a good man. He will be be greatly missed. This world lost one of the good ones. Brian was my boss at work the last years he had left before retirement. He took the time to teach the newer guys the right way to do the job and also have a little fun while doing it. He always had your back no matter what. The laughter we shared will be greatly missed.  God Bless Brian’s family during this difficult time.  The world lost a great one. Rest In Peace Brian.

Brian you touched a lot of people with your book and outlook! Thank you for staying in touch and reaching for your goals and happiness, it showed! Comfort and sympathy to your dear family at this time.


It seems like yesterday we were playing on Prentice road  all day long. The end of the day was when we would here the dinner bell ring out loud. Brian was my best friend growing up and I will greatly miss him. We had some unforgettable times growing up on prentice road. Peace be with you my friend and May God watch over you.   Mike Lindenfeld

Brian was my coworker at Nassau SheriffsDept. He was an exceptional officer and person. Additionally, he did work at my home. One day while working outside, he accidentally let my dog out of the yard.I will never forget the sight of Brian(a large guy) chasing my dog all over the neighborhood. I was laughing to hard to help him.He will always hold a special place in my memories, I am beyond sad to hear of his passing. He adored his children and my condolences to each of them. Rest well brother.
