Alfred Edison Morris

A native of Wilson County, Alfred was born on August 1, 1932 in Rock Ridge, NC to the late George Robert and Neta Winborne Morris. He served his country proudly for 4 years in the US Air Force. Following his service, he became a Raleigh Police officer where he served 34 years, retiring in 1983. He was an avid sportsman and loved fishing, baseball, and hunting. Above all else he loved his family.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 12:30pm, at Pinecrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11-12 at McLaurin Funeral Home, 12830 US 70 Bus. HWY W, Clayton, NC 27520.

Alfred is survived by his wife Dorothy Blake Morris; daughter, Carol Lasitter, of Rolesville; son, Alfred Edison Morris, Jr. and wife, Kim, of Morehead City; grandchildren, Lauren Morris McNeill and husband, Allen and Alfred Edison Morris, III; great grandson, Grayson Allen McNeill; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Alfred was preceded in death by 8 brothers and 3 sisters, and son in law, Andrew Lasitter.
