Ronald was born on July 13, 1928, in Claremore, Oklahoma the son of Raymond P. and Virginia I. (Lee) Rader and younger brother to Raymond Rader.
At the age of sixteen, he gave his heart to God and began a life-long ministry as a pastor and Bible teacher. He graduated from Central High School in Claremore, Oklahoma in 1946. Soon after, he began his profession as a bookbinder, an occupation he pursued with excellence until retirement from the State of California Printing Plant in 1981.
Ronald was known for having a very curious mind. He obtained his pilot’s license and learned archery in his twenties. Another avocation that he began then was his life-long love of wood working. In his later years, he made and repaired many clocks, giving many away to his family and friends.
In the 1970s, he pursued weightlifting and eventually turned to running. He loved running so much that he completed sixteen marathons plus numerous long and short distance running events.
He worked for Dome Printing after retiring from the State of California, finally and officially retiring at the age of seventy-eight. Never one to sit idle, Ron began studying the creation versus evolution argument. He spent hours researching every applicable topic becoming an avid proponent of God’s creation of the universe, the earth, humankind and all other living beings. Because of his multi-year study, he attained a Doctor of Divinity from Sacramento Theological Seminary and Bible College in 2010.
Marrying Emma Jean Lovette in 1948, he became father to two children, grandfather to three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. After 40 years of marriage, Emma Jean preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife Dolli Thomas who joined him in marriage in 1989. Dolli added five children, nine grandchildren and great grandchildren to Ronald’s family.
Ronald’s family and his many friends will miss him.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reichert’s Funeral Services. There are no planned visiting hours or funeral services.
