Joseph Christopher Steiner passed away on May 18, 2023 after a brief illness. He was 60 years old. He was born on December 15, 1962, in Sacramento, California, to parents James Frederick Steiner and Nancy Marie Steiner. Joe was a resident of Sacramento for over 50 years.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Eleonor Steiner, and his daughter Nemesia Steiner. He is also survived by his mother Nancy Jean Keyson (Wesley), his brothers Jonathan Steiner (Alena), William Garland (Karen), Michael Garland (Nineveh) and sister Jenny Arnold - Steiner (Brock). He was preceded in death by his parents James Frederick Steiner and Nancy Marie Steiner.
Joe retired from Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) in 2019, and worked over 28 years in various positions. He retired as a Meter Technician. Before his career at SMUD he worked at Liberty Construction with his family.
Joe enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved to cook, watch movies, take vacations to Hawaii and enjoy watching Nascar racing. Most of all he loved being with his family, friends, and dogs. He will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.
