Barbara passed away at her home in Sacramento, California on January 01, 2014.
She was born at home in Buhl Idaho to William and Margaret Aldrich. She grew up on a farm surrounded by family: her grandparents Charlie and Helen Rodgers, as well as Fred and Mariom Aldrich, and her Aunt and Uncle Vaughn and Grace Shriver.
Barbara loved horse back riding was active in Jobes Daughters and was queen of the rodeo in High School. She graduated from Buhl High School in 1949 and married Ried Bell June 5th 1949. They had four children Robyn, Julie, Christie and John. Barbara and Ried were married twenty one years. Barbara worked at Lyon's Restaurant for twenty four years and here she met her soul mate and the love of her life, Oscar (Chic) Kienzle. They were married for twenty seven years until the time of his passing in 2000. Barbara was a friend of Bill W. and had many, many friends through him. Barbara has touched the lives of many people with her sincere honesty and compassion.
Barbara was the happiest at home with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Margaret Aldrich, husband Oscar (Chic) Kienzle and step son Rex Allen Kienzle. She was a fabulous mother and role model to her children and grandchildren. What she meant to us can not be summed up in a few sentences. She survived by her four children Robyn Bell of Santa Barbara, California; Julie Bell of Sacramento, California; Christie Cunningham and her Husband Michael of Sacramento, California; and John Bell and his wife Barbara of Sheridan, California and her step children Gary and Charlene Kienzle of Missouri, and Don Kienzle of Sacramento, California. Grandchildren: Trevor Kelly of Auburn, California; Jake Darnell of Portland, Oregon; Jeff Lyons of Sacramento, California; Cody Bell of Sheridan, California; Julian and Avery Bell of Santa Barbara California. Great grandchildren: Kole Kelly of Auburn, California and Charlie and Ryan Darnell of Portland, Oregon. As well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Barbara had many close friends who she loved and shared her life with.
She will be missed but never forgotten. We love you Mom. Rest in Peace.
