Vernon Robert Finley

Vernon was born April 13, 1926 at Johnsonville, IL to Loa and Nora (Shehorn) Finley. He married Virginia Coil on January 24, 1945 at Wells Chapel General Baptist Church and she survives.

Vernon was a truck driver, backhoe operator, mechanic, farmer, mail carrier, maintenance man and was a deacon at Wells General Baptist Church.

Vernon is survived by his wife Virginia Finley of Johnsonville, IL; one daughter Brenda (Ron) Heifner of Johnsonville, IL; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and a special pet, Tinker.

Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother, and two sisters.

Funeral services for Vernon Finley will be Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 11:00AM at Wells Chapel General Baptist Church and burial at Wells Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 9:00AM until time of service at the church.

Memorials may be given to Wells Chapel Cemetery and will be accepted at Hosselton Funeral Home.
