Robert "Bob" S. Attebery

Bob was born February 26, 1928 in Fairfield, Illinois to Philip R. and Marie (Staley) Attebery. He married Dorothy Ferne Conard September 6, 1953 at Blue Point Church near Cisne, Illinois.

Bob retired as ground man from Wayne White Electric Cooperative. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran serving in WWII and a U. S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean War.

Bob is survived by his wife Dorothy Attebery of Cisne, Illinois; two sons Don (Jean) Attebery of Cisne, Illinois and Richard (Liz) Attebery of Geff, Illinois and one sister Linda (John) Edgington of Calhoun, Illinois. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Cody (Cecily) Attebery of Fairfield, Illinois, Andrew (Daniela) Attebery of Chicago, Illinois, J’ne (Ryan) McGehee of Fairfield, Illinois, and Paige (Shae) Attebery of Geff, Illinois and two great grandchildren Asa and Hutch Attebery.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Funeral services will be 11am Friday, April 27, 2018 at Hosselton Funeral Home. Visitation will be prior to service 10am-11am. Burial will be in Cisne Cemetery with military rites.

Memorials may be given to donor’s choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
