Joyce Mae Reid Brown

She was born May 24, 1927 near Cisne, IL to Robley and Iva (Gill) Reid. She married Ray Hall in 1947. She later married Warren Brown in 1973 and he preceded her in death in 1987.

Joyce attended Thomas Grade School in Clay County, Clay City High School and Eastern Illinois University for one year in business. She worked summers at Clay City Bank, a legal secretary for many years in Illinois and Kansas, and a real estate broker and sales for 32 years in Las Vegas, NV.

Joyce is survived by three grandchildren Robert (Susan) Pyles of Beaver, Utah; Sandy (Joe) Barnhart of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Jenny (Jeff) Johnson of Mt. Vernon, IL. Six great grandchildren Robert and Julia Pyles, Kali Owens, and Dylan Zachary and Kasondra Harbison; daughter-in-law Connie Hall, and nieces Carla and Connie also survive.

Preceding her in death were here two children Dennis Ray Hall and Maryilynn Mae Hall, one brother Richard and his wife Norma, and one son-in-law Wayne Pyles.

Funeral services will be held at 11AM Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Hosselton Funeral Home and visitation will be held from 10am until time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Gunion Cemetery near Cisne, IL.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
