Daniel Edwin Ruff III

Daniel was born February 27, 1946 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Daniel E., Jr., and Marian A. (Weir) Ruff. Daniel served in the Army for 3 years and was a proud Vietnam Vet who served his country with honor from May 1968 to May 1969. Following his time in the service, Daniel was an entrepreneur who had many talents and owned several businesses during his life. He had many hobbies and activities that he enjoyed, such as boating, fishing, football, antique cars, traveling, and enjoying time with his dog, Molly, and cat, Rocky.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel E. Ruff II and Marian A. Church.

Daniel E. Ruff III is survived by his children, Daniel E. Ruff IV, Chad M. Ruff and Jason A. Ruff; his grandchildren, Daniel H. Ruff, Brooke Ruff, Blake Ruff, Thorne Ruff, Alexis Ruff, Madison Ruff, and Tate Carder; great-grandchildren, Daniel H. Ruff, Jr., Peyton Ruff, Tristan Green, Hilary Green, Samuel Hannah, Xander Gaska, Stone Ruff, Mateo Gaska, Nico Ruff, Reagan Ruff, and Sterling Ruff; his sister, Sandra Alcott; his nephew, Christopher Alcott; and many other relatives and friends.

A celebration of his life will be celebrated on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, 151 E. Main St, Circleville, OH. The visitation will be from 10:00am to 12:00pm and the funeral service will follow at 12:00pm with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Daniel will be laid to rest at Forest Cemetery with Military Honors.
