Russell Hunter Shaner of Imperial Beach California, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2014 at the age of 82 years old. Russell is survived by his daughter Jeri Demeritt, son-in-law Craig, daughter-in-law Teresa. Russell is preceded in death by his wife Janet and son Robert. Russell was born in Le Raysville, Pennsylvania on May 2, 1932 to Carlyn and Gertrude Shaner.
Russell join the United States Navy in 1955 and retired after 21 years of service as a Petty Officer. Russell moved to San Diego with his family in 1961 and settled in Imperial Beach, California. Russell was a loving husband, father, grandfather and father-in-law. He will be missed by all who knew him.
