Philip E. Gray, 82, of San Diego, CA, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2013. He was born in Milo, Maine on August 14, 1931, and was married to Virginia Gray on September 27, 1953. Philip served his country in the United States Army with honor and distinction as an Infantryman, Army Ranger, Master Parachutist, and Special Forces Green Beret. He was a dedicated husband and father of 6 wonderful children, and had a lifelong passion for fishing. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Gray of San Diego, 3 sons: Michael Gray and Stephen Gray of Texas, Richard Gray of Florida, 3 daughters: Diane Gray and Janice Price of San Diego, Nancy Fetzer of Murrieta, 11 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be held at Miramar National Cemetery, at 5795 Nobel Drive, San Diego, CA.
