Dear Keito and Family

I had the opportunity to meet Keito on several occasions when he visited Japan. And I witnessed how he grew over the years. However, when I heard the news of Mirai's passing, who remains in my memories as a child, I was truly shocked and left speechless. Mirai, always cheerful and kind, even befriended my shy younger brother, leaving warm memories in my heart.

Losing a family is an indescribable loss, and I understand the enduring sense of grief. Yet, memories will forever live on in my heart, and I believe the same is true for your family. While I acknowledge the profound difficulty of this time, I sincerely wish for peace to find its way to your hearts.

Dear Keito and Family,

I am deeply saddened to hear about Mirai's passing and would like to express my heartfelt condolences. The memories of our days at Honmoku Pool during our elementary school years, the fun times shared with Yuta and Yoshihisa, remain vividly etched in my heart.

Even after Keito and Mirai moved to America, the times when you returned to Japan and stayed at my house, deepening our bond like a family, are unforgettable. Mirai's warm smile and kindness will forever shine in my memories.

We lived in the same building and everyday Keito, Mirai and me went to Negishi forest park and played video games.
I have a lot of memories in American base, especially around the pool and bowling.
I didn’t have a brother, so Mirai was like a little brother to me. I loved and love his smile and cute hair.
Every time you and your family came back to Japan, I was so happy to see you both.
I only have one regret: I planned to visit you during 2020 summer, but I couldn’t due to COVID.
I really wanted to see you all.
Mirai still lives in my heart.

My first year of high school 2019-2020 i was introduced to the olympian band, I met so many great people who really pushed me outside my comfort zone and I remember Mirai so specifically because of how gentle he was, he was such a calm and genuine person, I remember how reserved he was but so funny, he always made me feel so welcomed and I loved how we were in the same section. He was such a good player and although he didn't stay the rest of the years in band i appreciated him for making an huge impact on my life.  My heart goes out to his family. I'm so so sorry. He truly was such a great person.

I am forever grateful and thankful to have had you as a supporter, a shoulder to cry on, and friend. You always seemed to light up the room in every door opened to you. You gave me hope when times were tough, and were so wise beyond your years. I will always miss our laughs together on our frequent food trips, and the stories we told when I would visit from college. I am so heartbroken I could not laugh with you one last time. I love you forever, my sunshine.

when this photo was taken, i didn’t know that i would be as close to him as i am now 🤍 i first met mirai in 2019 and he was so shy but sweet back then. i remember it was so easy opening up to him, whether it be through discord calls or getting boba in real life. 

we took this photo when we went out to eat and got boba, he always had great fashion and was so caring all the time. i miss linking arms with him and getting to walk around with him talking all night🤍

this photo means a lot to me because of all the times mirai and i attend concerts together! this was back september 2023 when we both dressed up together as characters from an anime we both watched. 

the whole time, we would walk around stage to stage and enjoy the vibes together as the night went on. mirai is one of the few people i know that had such a comforting presence to be around, and one of the best listeners whenever i had to rant or ramble about anything, whether it be life or learning more about his favorite food. i miss him 🤍🕊️

Mirai was one of the first people I met in high school. He was in two of my classes in freshman year and inevitably ended up in a silly picture my friends took when they stole my phone. Looked like he was having fun that day, although only half of his cheek is there haha. December 7, 2018. 

We weren't close, just tablemates, but he was a sweet guy. I miss seeing your wonderfully aesthetic life on instagram. I know so many people are missing you right now, rest easy, friend.

Mirai was such a sweet and kind soul. It was a joy to be able to work with him, and be one of the lucky people that got to know how heartfelt and hardworking he was. He was a person that you could depend on for a warming conversation and I am grateful that I got to know Mirai, and share  memories with him. Although we didn’t work together long, he had an impact on myself, and on the team, by being a genuine, kind person. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

He was a great guy such a great listener and was always so kind to everyone he spoke to i’ll miss working with him and i hope you all take care of each other in this time of grief.

a quiet but kind soul. i  cant say i was lucky enough to be a close friend, but i’ll always remember him being nice to my own little brother. my deepest condolences go to mirai’s family. sending all the love, and may you all get the privacy and peace you so rightfully deserve during this time.

One of my favorite memories with Mirai. He could sing so good, I would always hear him in the shower and in the room next door singing his heart out. I miss your voice so much.
