Melody brought a smile to everyone's face on January 6th, 14 wonderful years ago. Against the opinion of all doctors there that day, she lived. And not only lived, but lived well.
In her adolescent years, she demonstrated an aptitude for academia with hopes of one day saving lives in the medical field. She aspired, selflessly and coincidently, to one day, hold degrees in the field of pediatric oncology. She deeply, and passionately, pursued a relationship with her creator, and savior, Jesus Christ. Even at an early age, young Melody inspired people to live their best lives by following his example to think and care about all others above all else.
In her teenage years which only, sadly and unfortunately, just began, she developed interests in the arts. Christian singer, Lauren Daigle quickly began to dominate her playlists. Melody passionately followed Lauren and the message of hope, and caring, that her songs were based upon. It quickly began to become evident that this music was positively affecting young Melody. Melody, unlike all teenagers of similar age, did not rebel. Instead, she cared deeply for her mother, Karina, and at times, when needed, embraced the role of mother within her immediate family.
Melody's courageous battle with brain cancer ended on October 6th of 2023 after learning of her condition in March of 2023. In this time, she never complained, never became upset with her cimcumstance, and always maintained her composure and loving smile. She would laugh, and make others laugh. She brought people together and most importantly, she brought peace to all of those around her -- both in their hearts and in their minds. She prepared her family as much as they were trying to prepare her.
Perfect daughter, sister, cousin, niece and grand-daughter -- blessing. Always and forever, the world will think of her and smile.
Melody is survived by her father Armando Rendon, her mother Karina Silva Kamiura, step father Thomas Kamiura and her Siblings Ivan, Isabella, Armando and Giovanni Rendon.
This isn't the end, but the beginning. 🕊
