Not long after they moved to Kent Washington, Except for a few years when her father worked on a farm in the Imperial valley, they made their home in Kent. She had two Younger brothers, Jack and Brooks. As a child she studied Ballet and Piano. She attended Washington University before taking a secretarial position in Seattle, Washington. It was there that she met a handsome officer named Fred.
Maxine married Fred S. Roley, USN, February 16, 1946. They Settled in Tacoma and started to raise a family. As the years passed they would live in Washington, Florida and California where dad retired from the Navy.
Fred passed away in 1978 at the age of 60.
Maxine went on to get an AA degree in Child Development. She served as a Sunday School Teacher, a Deacon, a Cafeteria Lady (Tiffany Elementary), Took Classes in Art, Pottery, and Music.
She passed away quietly, September 24, 2015, In San Diego, California.
She is survived by her brother Brooks and her 4 children, Irene G. Brill, Richard E. Roley, Steven D. Roley, James P. Roley, 8 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
Maxine Loved the Lord, her family and the church. She is a shining example of what a mother hopes to be and a beacon to all. Maxine was loved by all who knew her. She will be missed until that day when we will join her in Heaven, with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Chula Vista Presbyterian Church, 940 Hilltop Drive, Chula Vista, CA.
October 8, 2015, 10:30 AM, with a reception to follow.
(A Private Entombment will be held at Glen Abbey at 2 Pm on October 8th.)
