In December of 1977 Maria married Salvador Villanueva. They were blessed with 3 children and 41 years of marriage. Maria's greatest joy came from her family and taking good care of them. She was very proud of her children and their accomplishments. Whenever the opportunity presented itself, she enjoyed listening to music or watching telenovelas. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Maria will be greatly missed by all. She will be remembered for her kind hearted and loving nature.
Maria is survived by her husband, Salvador Ortiz Villanueva; daughter Esperanza Villanueva; daughter Sandra Villanueva; son Salvador Villanueva; and son-in-law Manolito De los Reyes; sister Imelda Beshears; granddaughter Blanca Villanueva, granddaughter Dahlia De los Reyes and grandson Sebastian De los Reyes.
A visitation & celebration of life for Maria will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel Chula Vista, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91910. A catholic funeral service will occur Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91910. An eternal resting place will occur Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery, 3751 Market Street, San Diego, California 92102.
