I so wish I could be there today for you Andy and Andrea.  Your Mom was a special person and will certainly be missed.   I remember her trip to Ohio to visit us and how she instantly hit it off with my Mom.  It was like they had known each other for years even though  there was a language barrier and neither one could really understand the other.  I also remember the first time I came out to CA and met her and she cooked for me....very tasty and she was very proud of it.  I also couldn't understand what she was saying but her laughter and mannerisms said it all.  Much love to you and your Family!

I’ve never known another person that was as bright and loving as you. Throughout my life, you took care of me and made me feel like I was the most important person in your world.

When you and nana would pick me and Mireya  up from school I was always holding your hand, and the moment we’d get to your house you’d starting cleaning a home that was already spotless. You would make spaghetti in that way that no one else but you could, or you’d let us try sips of your coffee that was way too sweet, while telling us that we’d stay short if we drank too much coffee (or pickle juice, but I think you just wanted me to stop drinking pickle juice).

Whenever I saw you, you were as happy as can be. You always had a smile on your face and you were always making jokes I couldn’t understand because of the language barrier, but I still laughed anyway. When I grew taller than you, you’d push me until I was on my knees because only then was I shorter than you, and you’d laugh all over again.

I’m so thankful to have a grandmother who loved me as much as you did. I’m so lucky to have been loved by someone who cared about me so unconditionally, and who I loved just as much. You were a big part of my life, and I’m so happy that I can cherish these moments forever. I love you so much.

No hay palabras para expresar tu partida Tia Rosa,  te vamos a extrañar mucho pero siempre viviras en nuestros corazones.  Doy gracias a Dios por  la oportunidad de poder coincidir contigo y  disfrutar de tu cariño, nobleza, paciencia y amor.  Siempre fuiste un ser humano fuera de serie, fuiste la mejor tia siempre apoyando sin esperar nada a cambio.  Gracias por haber dejado tantos bellos recuerdos plasmados en mi vida .    Hoy te toca adelantarte en el camino y disfrutar una vida llena de paz al lado de tu gran tesoro tu hijo Luis que estoy segura que te recibira con una sonrisa y los brazos abiertos.

Que Dios te tenga en el cielo disfrutando con los que se fueron antes de ti. Como mi mamá, mi Tío Alvin, Mama, Mamita, tu mamá, Luis, Ofelia, Janette y todos los otros. You raised Cissy and I for most of our lives. I am forever thankful to have lived with you, loved you, been cared by you, and understand selflessness from you.

You carried us on your lap even if we were too big. You watched Cissy and I dress up in your clothing and run around the apartment you and Nana shared. You would watch us swim in the pool even though you and Nana were scared! You would laugh that we would brag how we’re getting taller than you. The friendship that you and Nana shared was amazing to watch from beginning to end. 

No matter what, there was always smiling and laughter coming from you. That is what I will remember forever. 

Thank you for teaching me, raising me, laughing with me, walking me to school, and smacking my head if Cissy and I were being chismosas.

Te amamos y extrañamos mucho Tia 

I will always remember Rosa for her unconditional love. Always seeing the good in everybody and everything. Never spoke words of hate. Only showed the best of what humanity had to offer. Her soul shined brighter than any star on a cloudless night. She will truly be missed. I love you Rosa.l
