Maria Morales Foss, age 61 of Imperial Beach passed away on May 17, 2024.
“Ria” was born to the late Francis Joseph Foss, UDT Frogman, Team 11 and a logistics officer for the State Department and Carla Maria McLaren, adventurer and artist in Coronado on August 21, 1962, in Coronado, California.
Maria graduated from Mar Vista High School. She was well versed in History, Greek mythology, Egyptology and Astronomy. Maria worked for 18 years for Quintrall and Associates Pro Lien Company, LLP as the company’s manager. Maria’s passions and interest were numerous. Sewing, reading, swimming, cooking, gardening and was an avid motorcycle “old lady.”
Maria loved her family and was married to Will Rosario on August 21, 1990.
Maria is survived by her nephews and nieces: Nathan Kinney, Carlita Foss, Kipling Ricketson, Kayla Thomas, Miles Ricketson (Nicole Ricketson), Duncan Foss II. (Kristina Casagrand Foss), Chris “PP” Foss (Lisa Foss) Magen Foss Melroy (Joseph Melroy), Azulluna Foss Sincere, Melissa Hanlin (Daniel Hanlin) and Shannon Gillespie.
Great Nephews and Great Nieces: Gertrude Foss, Aurora Foss, Braxton James Ricketson, Oliver Riley Ricketson, Sophia Foss Hannan, Oliver Foss Hannan, Jude Gilmore, Juliet Foss, Alice Foss, Daniel Hanlin Jr, and Cillian Hanlin.
Siblings: Duncan Foss (Laura Sincere), Martita Foss (Robert Barry), Margaret Foss, and William Foss (Karen Foss).
Stepfather: William Manson (Diane Moir)
Beloved Husband, Will Rosario.
There will be a Viewing/Memorial from 5-10 pm on June 6, 2024 at Funeraria del Angel 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA.
In lieu of flowers, the family will donate to Ria’s Charities.
