Maria Theresa Ahamed

Chula Vista, CA––AHAMED, Maria Theresa, reunited with her Heavenly Father on September 14, 2017. She was born to the late Egidio and Maria Tomarchio (nee Forzisi) on October 2, 1956 in Buffalo, New York. She graduated from Castle Park High School in Chula Vista, California and enjoyed a 34 year career at the San Diego Housing Commission where she received many awards and recognition for her work supporting the community. Theresa was also an active Christian who was instrumental in helping people find a deep love for God. She particularly enjoyed her work with children ministries. She is survived by her devoted husband of 33 years, Hassan Ahamed and her children Anne M. Frank and Richard Adams. She was a loving “Nani” to her two grandchildren, Aydrik and Addalie. Her laughter, lightheartedness, and desire to serve were an inspiration to all that knew her. She loved entertaining and dancing. She always had an open heart and home filled with love, warmth and the scents of her Sicilian cooking. A viewing and reception will be held at Funeraria del Angel Humphrey in Chula Vista on Thursday, September 21st from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
