Lela Elizabeth (Tucker) Frampton, 48 years young, of Chula Vista California passed away on 30 August 2017 at Naval Medical Center San Diego during a particularly difficult struggle with cancer.
Lela was born in Coronado, California on the 15th of June 1969. Lela graduated from Marion High School and received a Social Worker degree from San Diego State University. She was married to Scott Frampton on the 21st of December 2009 and is the proud mother of Jacob.
Lela devoted her life to two things - the sacrifices she made for her son and the righting of any injustice, whether personal or social. She was active in ministries for helping the homeless and disadvantaged, prayer groups, and women’s groups. She was a member of the Lay Oblates of Mary Immaculate. To the end of her earthly struggle, she was Christ to others, always placing their needs before hers.
She is survived by her husband Scott, son Jacob, stepdaughters Lauren, Kelsey, Megan, and Samantha, sisters Jessica, Ginny, and Lisa, and seven nieces and nephews. The family would like to acknowledge with grateful hearts and all of God’s blessings the staff at Naval Medical Center San Diego who treated Lela with such compassion and careful attention.
