Music Was You Passion
You are my brother, my friend and I love you so much!!
You were the miracle BABY. It was a tough day for you and Mom 0n December 31, 1957 at Southampton Hospital, but you both made it. It was wonderful that I had a little brother, and of course Mom and Dad were delighted.
The day of that you were to be baptized became interesting. The weather forecast predicted snow flurries the evening before the big day, so Dad did not move the cars down near Montauk Highway. We woke on Sunday morning with 2 to 3 feet of snow with huge snow drifts. It took 2 days to dig out the long driveway, and so you were Baptized on a Tuesday.
We were lucky to have such Great PARENTS, strict, but very LOVING OF BOTH OF US. As you, I am forever grateful to have had parents that made sure we became good, helpful and kind individuals as adults.
I think back and remember when you were Growing up you were so good natured and quite the comedian; I still smile when I think of how comical you were.
We spent a lot of time with our cousins and Aunts and Uncles and grandparents on Long Island, New York City and Connecticut. Lots of fun and lots of love.
In the fall of 1964, a few years after Grandma, Grandpa and Linda moved to California we moved to California. You were so excited and could not wait to get there. And me, well I thought Mom and Dad were terrible (I was a teenager) to root me up and away from my friends. As I found out Chula Vista was a nice place to live. We had a new group of cousins to enjoy and love and we had an even bigger extended family.
There are so many things more I want to say, but I do not want to go on forever, though I will forever remember all the good and bad that came our way and we were always there for each other. I do not think that you know how touched I was every time you helped me.
You became a wonderful man that was loving, kind, caring, supportive and all-around good guy to those you held close.
You were much too young to leave us.
I thank you for the Jim Croce live DVD you left for me to find.
I will love you forever and I miss you more than words can say.
I know the Lord will take me someday and I look forward to once again being with Mom, Dad and You Johnny.
I know you are in heaven and you are in peace now and forever.
