George J Hyde, age 86, of Chula Vista, California passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024. George was born in Burtchville, St Clair, Michigan on February 25, 1937. George's only brother is Paul Hyde. George was married to Shizuko M Hyde on October 1963. George enlisted in the Navy, earning E9 Master Chief rank. He was a member of The Knights of Columbus and Boys Scouts for over 75 years. His favorite hobby was to scout, camp and hike.
A viewing & vigil for George will be held Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Chula Vista, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91910. A funeral service will occur Friday, February 2, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 293 H St, Chula Vista, CA 91910. A military honors will occur Friday, February 2, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Greenwood Memorial Park, 4300 Imperial Ave, San Diego, CA 92113.
