Elizabeth "Beth" Ann Browning , 46, of Chula Vista, CA, passed away after a courageous battle with colon cancer July 11, 2013. She was born in Morgantown, WV on December 04, 1966. Beth graduated from Ringgold High school in 1984 and received a BA in Psychology and Sociology from Washington and Jefferson College in 1988 and went on to get Masters Degree from University of Cincinnati. Beth was a teacher of moderate severe handicapped students since 1990. She enjoyed being on PTA and planning activities. Beth was on a technology committee to help co-workers. She enjoyed mentoring co-workers to help them understand children with handicaps. In 2006 she was teacher of the year for Oneonta Elementary and for district. In 2013 she was chosen for special education teacher out of many districts.
She had a passion for Steelers' football, reading, and traveling with her son.
She was survived by her parents, Ellsworth J. and Sally Church Browning of Monongahela, PA, her son, Brenden, sisters Mary Kay Austin (Jeremy) of Apollo, PA and Pamela Browning of Point Marion, PA, nieces Amber Browning, Dannika and Kayla Austin of Apollo, PA. She touched numerous lives and will be missed by friends in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and California.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to American Cancer Society or other charities that Beth expressed interest.
