Arturo was born in San Diego and grew up in National City. He graduated from Sweetwater High School in 1997 and later earned a degree from UEI Technical College.
He pursued a career in the real estate field and worked for an appraisal company in San Diego. He later moved to Riverside County, where he continued his passion for doing appraisals.
Arturo truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, such as chatting with friends and family and spending time with his niece Ashley and nephew Adam Joey.
After experiencing turbulence and trials, Arturo gave his life to Jesus and was baptized again at the Teen Challenge Rehab. He was a spiritual man and loved God.
As many of you know, Arturo had a deep passion for turtles and often kept them as pets throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends and all who knew him.
He is survived by his mother, Martina Zapien, and stepfather, Jose Zapien, father Arturo Aranda, sister Alma Aranda (Samuel), brother Emmanuel Zapien (Colleen) niece Ashley, and nephew Adam Joey.
