Antonio served in the United States Navy for 20 years. In his retirement years, he was a homemaker and caregiver, raising many of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Antonio had a simple passion for life, enjoying everything and anything that he could do. He was a wonderful and artful cook and was skilled in many different crafts from repairing cars to weaving ribbon birds and coconut hats, making airplane kites that soared the skies high to making miniature origami animals and much, much more!
He is survived by his wife, Diana, of 63 years and their six children, Paul (Roxanne), Elliott (Denise), Gordon, Peter, Sophie, and Tiffany (Shawn). Thirteen Grandchildren, Kimberly, Krystal, Jessica, Chelsea, Andrew, Kristen, Tristyn, Jocelyn, Elliott, Jaron, Nathaniel, Alyssa, Erik, Fourteen Great-Grandchildren, and his two brothers Mario and Pabling.
Viewing for Antonio will be held Friday, January 21, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Chula Vista, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91910.
Funeral service will occur Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91910. A military honors will occur Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Glen Abbey Memorial Park, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902. (In memory of Antonio, Aloha attire is welcomed)
