Born at home on November 12th, 1931 in the coal mining town of Oak View located at the foot of the Spanish Peaks in Colorado. He was born into a long line of hard working mining families and raised at the top of Raton pass in Morley, a coal town in Southern Colorado.
Bob's early years were spent working on cattle ranches in Colorado and New Mexico where he also competed in rodeo competitions.
He served five years in the United States Army which included an assignment with the 443rd Antiaircraft Artillery Battalion at Wiesbaden Air Base, Germany.
Bob was a talented man and worked in the oil fields, on farms, ran dozers, was a cowboy for the Triangle T Ranch near Firebaugh, California and later as an outside salesman for Texas Refinery Corp in Houston, Texas.
Bob’s mother and father raised five boys and six girls, and he was the father of five children, with six grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Our father was laid to rest on December 29th, 2022 at Chowchilla, California cemetery with military honors.
