Judith “Judy” Marie Bryant, a beacon of warmth and wisdom, passed away on February 13th, 2024, in the house that she designed and loved in Clovis California. Judy was born in Madera, California to Harry and Trudy Minck on October 10th, 1942. Judy’s life was a tapestry of love, charity, and cooking.
It was in 1963 that Judy’s heart found its counterpart in Glynn Bryant. Their 60-year marriage was a testament to enduring love. Together they raised two remarkable children: Rene and Daniel “Danny,” who were Judy’s pride and joy. Her three grandchildren David, Brittney, and Reece were a source of much amusement and delight in her life.
Judy’s career spanned many jobs: banker, office manager, real estate agent, and manager. However, her true calling was being a mother. Her wisdom, compassion and unconditional love were perfect companions to her mothering nature.
Travel and cooking were Judy’s life-long passions. Even to this day, her bookshelves are packed with annotated cookbooks. Anyone who had the joy of sharing one of her home cooked meals, knew of her culinary excellence. Judy was always planning trips, anything from a day trip to Yosemite, a week at Morro Bay, or a few weeks in Europe. She was also an avid painter and delighted in painting the landscapes she visited or wished to visit.
Although predeceased by her parents, a daughter and a grandson, Judy’s memory is honored by her devoted husband Glynn Bryant, son Daniel Bryant, grandchildren Brittney Botts and Reece McCartney, sisters Marjorie Parker and Patricia Lay, and a community of cherished friends.
Services to celebrate Judy’s life will be held on March 8th. A viewing will be open to the public at 10 a.m. at Palm Memorial Worden Chapel, 140 South 6th Street, Chowchilla, CA 93610. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. at Chowchilla Cemetery District, 23359 Rd 14 ½, Chowchilla, CA 93610.
Judy’s life was a testament to the beauty of a life well-lived, the lives she touched, and the love she shared. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy will bloom eternally in the hearts of those she has left behind.
