John, who went by “Jack” by most of his friends and family, immigrated the United States to Southern California at an early age, from Ferryland, Newfoundland, Canada.
He was an avid fan of a variety of sports, Football, Baseball and Boxing as a family favorite.
John was also a veteran of the US Army, stationed in Germany as a Medic. Then went on into a career as a Dental Technician, and owning his own business.
John was blessed with two children of his own, John Jr. and Dana.
He is survived by his daughter Dana Toner and 5 grandchildren.
John will always be remembered for his fondness of the outdoors. From the shores of New Foundland to the High Sierras of California, anywhere there was a lake he always welcomed the peace of the wilderness.
You will be remembered and missed.
A visitation service for John will be held Tuesday, March 28, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Palm Memorial Worden Chapel, Chowchilla, California. Following the visitation service will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM at San Joaquin National Valley Cemetery, Santa Nella, California.
