Ruben Ramirez Vasquez, 88, entered into eternal rest on March 2, 2023. An original Chino native, he was born on July 25, 1934, to Evodio and Rosa Vasquez. He was proceeded in death by his parents, his wife of 34 years, Bessie Dale Vasquez, his brothers Joseph Langarica and Ralph Vasquez, his sister Velia Hernandez and his grandson Val Villa.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Hernandez, two sisters, Rosemarie (Adolfo) Armendariz and Helen Negrette, his children Deborah (Wes) Fretter, Ruben (Vivian) Vasquez, Steve Vasquez and two stepdaughters, Adriana (Frank) Garcia and Karla (Cris) Banuelos. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was a member of Saint Margaret Mary Catholic Church and a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, 82nd Airborne. He was a previous employee of Wayne Sweepers, Pasco Steel, and JNJ Design and Development.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, traveling, and making everyone laugh with his stories and jokes. He was beloved by many and will be missed by all.
Services will be held on April 1st, 2023, at Funeraria Del Angel in Chino, 9:00 a.m. Rosary, 10:00 a.m. Mass, Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Pomona, CA, and a reception from 1:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m. at the Chino Community Building in Chino, CA.
